Cheyenne Raquel Boynton is an arts administrator, advocate, and proud Tejana dedicated to advancing arts and culture through strategic leadership and community engagement.
She currently serves as Director of Advancement for the Pensacola Children's Chorus, where her leadership has driven successful fundraising initiatives, secured multiple revenue streams, and positioned the organization for sustainability during an unprecedented crisis for Florida's arts sector. Cheyenne is also an active board member with the Florida Cultural Alliance, the state's leading arts advocacy organization, where she contributes to policy development, strategic planning, and statewide advocacy efforts—including critical communications work during Florida's 2024 elimination of all state arts and culture grants. She recently joined the board of the Association of Fundraising Professionals' West Florida Chapter and was elected as Chair of National Philanthropy Day.
A graduate of Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts and holding a BA in Integrated Arts and Social Sciences from the University of North Texas (Theatre, Music, Ethnic Studies), Cheyenne brings nearly a decade of experience spanning arts administration, leadership, education, and development. Her career includes key leadership positions as Education and Community Action Manager at Cara Mía Theatre and Interim Manager of Educational Programs at the Tony Award-winning Dallas Theater Center, where she directed programs serving thousands across the U.S. and Latin America. Her career in Pensacola began at Pensacola Habitat for Humanity, where she quickly distinguished herself by significantly increasing volunteer engagement by 40%, streamlining fundraising operations to generate 120% growth in federal funding, and managing major events that raised over $350,000.
Throughout her career, Cheyenne has created educational resources, including bilingual study materials and curriculum guides still in use today, that have touched countless historically underserved youth and communities. A multidisciplinary artist herself, she has collaborated with Grammy-affiliated musicians and performed professionally while making substantial contributions to arts education and social justice. Cheyenne's diverse background in arts administration, advocacy, education, development, and performance positions her as a dynamic leader using the arts as a vehicle for positive change and community transformation.
